This 1920s-era home is a great find flying under the radar in Pasadena’s Washington Square Landmark District.

Built in 1925, the two-bedroom, one-bath house has retained select features from the early 20th century, including some hardware, the tiles adorning the front of the fireplace, and original windows and arched doorways.

Not original to the house are its contemporary electrical panel, copper plumbing, and central air conditioning and heating, leaving the house with the best of both worlds—modern systems with a few early 20th century charms.

The 915-square-foot house makes the most of its space, offering a living room, dining room, bright kitchen, and even space for dining outdoors, in the backyard. The detached one-car garage on the property poses an added flexible space, and is currently being used as a home gym.

The house at 1146 Heather Square last sold in 2015 for $565,000. It’s listed now at $649,000 with Kate Barnett of The Agency, though Redfin estimates it will sell for more than $710,000.
