Pretty Mt. Washington post and beam seeks $1.9M

Sure to make the jaws of Kinfolk readers and editors drop is this post and beam in Mt. Washington that has been dramatically and stylishly “reimagined” by Los Angeles design firm Breland-Harber.

Since last selling in the spring of last year, it has been neutralized and brought elegantly into 2019. Gone are the green carpets, outdated cabinets, and quirky stained glass that had cemented the large hillside residence in the 1980s.

It features a more subtle and refined palette now, but the home retains its best original elements: tall, wood-beamed ceilings; a bounty of windows and natural light; and a south-facing deck that boasts stupendous views, from Downtown to the ocean.

Measuring 3,117 feet on a 6,214-square foot-lot, the home holds four bedrooms and four bathrooms across two stories, with open living areas on the first floor, and bedrooms—including a master suite with a walk-in closet—on the second.

Having sold for $1.165 million in May, it’s now listed for $1.895 million.
