Our search begins in North Hollywood, where this one-bedroom apartment is up for rent. Located just a 10-minute walk from the North Hollywood Red and Orange Line stations, the upper-level apartment has laminate wood floors, wall-mounted air conditioning, newer-looking kitchen counters, and an updated bathroom. It rents for $1,795.

If a more contemporary look is what you’re searching for, this one-bedroom in West Adams has been totally redone, and features fancy kitchen counters and cabinets, stainless steel appliances, recessed LED lights, and in-unit laundry—all just a few blocks from the Expo/Crenshaw station on the Expo Line. It rents for $1,795.

This quaint Glendaleone-bedroom apartment has an almost cabin-like look, with all that wood paneling. Vintage touches dot the home, which has a retro kitchen and bathroom. There’s built-in storage in the living room and a spacious bedroom with a closet. Part of a fourplex, the unit rents for $1,650.

Not far from Pico and Rimpau, this one-bedroomMid-Wilshire apartment offers wood floors, in-unit laundry, a parking spot, and a dishwasher. The building’s walking distance from a grocery store, a drugstore, and a park. It rents for $1,795.

The listing for this West Hollywoodone-bedroom doesn’t give the apartment’s exact location, but it’s in the vicinity of La Brea and Santa Monica. The apartment features a lively mishmash of buzzwordy details: decorative moldings, colorful tile in the kitchen, granite counters—it’s all here! The apartment is close to tons of Santa Monica Bouelvard destinations and offers parking for an extra $100 a month. It rents for $1,850, not including that parking spot.
